Church Out The Box

When something doesn’t seem to be working as well as it could, it is time to re-evaluate what you’re doing. This is what we did at St Martin’s concerning ‘Messy Church’, which is an AWESOME concept, but not in our context. So, we put our heads together, ‘Ouch!’ and came up with ‘Church Out The Box’.

What will be different?

  • Church Out The Box is primarily for the children of Stonydelph and surrounding area’s – parents will be able to drop their children off at St Martin’s church the 2nd Sunday of every month at 4 pm AND collect them again at 6 pm after the children have enjoyed a time of celebration, creativity, and their tea.
  • Church Out The Box will be fun
  • There is no cost involved, though donations towards this ministry will be gratefully accepted.
  • The aim of Church Out The Box is to introduce the children to Jesus through a variety of different mediums, to give the children an opportunity to meet Jesus, and to grow in grace and knowledge of Him.
  • Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.’ Jesus then laid His hands on the children and blessed them.

Sunday Mornings

Whether you have been following Jesus for years or are just interested in finding out more, you are welcome to join us on a Sunday morning. There is room for everyone in God’s Family whatever your age or background. We believe everyone is loved and valued by God and so seek to be welcoming to all.

We meet at 10am and the service lasts between an hour and an hour and twenty minutes. The services vary each week…

Alternate Worship Service (1st Sunday of the month)
This service is led by one of our Fellowship Groups, with time to pray, praise songs and a talk on part of the Bible. There is a group for children and young people during the service.

Holy Communion (2nd Sunday)
This is a more formal service where we use bread and wine to remember God’s love for us through Jesus’ death and resurrection. There are groups for children and young people during the service.

Morning Praise (3rd & 4th Sunday)
This is a fairly informal service with time to pray, plenty of praise songs and a talk on part of the Bible. There is a group for children and young people during the service.

Renewal & Healing (5th Sunday)
This is an informal service where there is an emphasis on seeking God’s presence and praying for God to powerfully touch and transform our lives. There is a group for children and young people during the service.

After each service we spend time together over a tea and coffee in the lower hall. Cakes are also on sale, with money raised going to charity.
