Let us pray…

Father God, incline Your ear to our prayers…

Lord Jesus Christ, hear our prayer according to Your Word for our government… ‘A just king gives stability to his/her nation…’ (Proverbs 29:4) Pray for the legislation enforced by parliament; the laws will not be passed which will lead to injustice, waste and oppression or that will oppose the Word of God or hinder the proclamation of the gospel. Pray for by name and individually Teressa May and members of Parliament that God will guide their hearts wherever He pleases. (Proverbs 21:1).

Lord Jesus Christ, hear our prayer according to Your Word for the apple of Your eye, Israel… ‘Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May those who love you be secure’ (Psalm 122:6) The name Benjamin, the first name of Israel’s Prime Minister, means ‘son of the right.’ The right side is known as the strong side and it is usually attributed to strength. In all our prayers for the various needs, we need to keep Benjamin Netanyahu lifted up before God. He has led the country for many years. Wisdom and strength are needed for this major position of decision making. If we pray for him, through loving concern, God will hear. ‘I have heard your prayer’ (2Kings 19:20). Never stop praying for this Prime Minister who is not afraid to speak God’s Words from Scripture to the United Nations, United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation or anywhere in the world (Psalm 83:18).

Lord Jesus Christ, hear our prayer according to Your Word for our community… ‘Seek the peace and welfare of the city to which I have carried you…pray to the Lord for it, for in the welfare of the city in which you live you will have welfare’ (Jeremiah 29:7). Let us pray for our community here at Stonydelph/Wilnecote that our Lord’s thoughts and plans for welfare and peace will be fulfilled as the people of our community participate and cooperate with the plans of God. Father God, attract and draw and give the people of Stonydelph/Wilnecote the desire to come to Jesus Christ, haunt their thoughts and dreams, and everywhere they are send across their path a believer in Jesus Christ.

Lord Jesus Christ, hear our prayer according to Your Word for Your Church that freedom of utterance may be given to us that we may open our mouths to proclaim boldly the good news of the Gospel. God of peace, make us holy in every way (Ephesians 6:19) May our whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again (1 Thessalonians 5:23)

Lord Jesus Christ, hear our prayer according to Your Word for marriages and familiesFor marriages to be a reflection of Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). That families will worship the Lord together (Deuteronomy 14:26; Acts 16:31).

Lord Jesus Christ, hear our prayer according to Your Word for those who are in need of healing… ‘My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever’ (Psalm 73:26). In Exodus 15:26 the Lord called Himself Yahweh-Ropheka, which means: The Lord Who heals you. This is God’s name, this is Who He is, and this is what He can and wants to do for us. Pray to God Who calls Himself Yahweh-Ropheka when you pray for healing or for the sick.

Sunday Mornings

Whether you have been following Jesus for years or are just interested in finding out more, you are welcome to join us on a Sunday morning. There is room for everyone in God’s Family whatever your age or background. We believe everyone is loved and valued by God and so seek to be welcoming to all.

We meet at 10am and the service lasts between an hour and an hour and twenty minutes. The services vary each week…

All Age Worship (1st Sunday of the month)
This is a lively service where all ages join together for an hour of activities, Bible story and songs!

Holy Communion (2nd & 4th Sundays)
This is a more formal service where we use bread and wine to remember God’s love for us through Jesus’ death and resurrection. There are groups for children and young people during the service.

Morning Praise (3rd Sunday)
This is a fairly informal service with time to pray, plenty of praise songs and a talk on part of the Bible. There are groups for children and young people during the service. Sometimes this service is led by one of our Fellowship Groups.

Renewal & Healing (5th Sunday)
This is an informal service where there is an emphasis on seeking God’s presence and praying for God to powerfully touch and transform our lives. There is a group for children and young people during the service.

After each service we spend time together over a tea and coffee in the lower hall. Cakes are also on sale, with money raised going to charity.
