Children & Youth

Sometimes people think church is not a place for children, but that is not what Jesus taught, nor what we think…

Children are just as important as anyone else in the life of the church. We especially encourage children and their parents/carers to come to the child-friendly All Age Worship on the first Sunday of the month. On the 2nd and 4th Sundays’ there are two separate groups during services with appropriate activities to help children grow in their faith.

Smart Kids (ages 2-7) in the Upper Hall

Simply Smart (8+) in the Back Meeting Room

For babies there is an unsupervised Smarties Crèche Room which parents/carers can take their children to at any point in the service.

There is also a Fellowship Group for Young People (age 11-18) that meets during the week. See the website or the Fellowship Group leaflet for more details.

Sunday Mornings

Whether you have been following Jesus for years or are just interested in finding out more, you are welcome to join us on a Sunday morning. There is room for everyone in God’s Family whatever your age or background. We believe everyone is loved and valued by God and so seek to be welcoming to all.

We meet at 10am and the service lasts between an hour and an hour and twenty minutes. The services vary each week…

All Age Worship (1st Sunday of the month)
This is a lively service where all ages join together for an hour of activities, Bible story and songs!

Holy Communion (2nd & 4th Sundays)
This is a more formal service where we use bread and wine to remember God’s love for us through Jesus’ death and resurrection. There are groups for children and young people during the service.

Morning Praise (3rd Sunday)
This is a fairly informal service with time to pray, plenty of praise songs and a talk on part of the Bible. There are groups for children and young people during the service. Sometimes this service is led by one of our Fellowship Groups.

Renewal & Healing (5th Sunday)
This is an informal service where there is an emphasis on seeking God’s presence and praying for God to powerfully touch and transform our lives. There is a group for children and young people during the service.

After each service we spend time together over a tea and coffee in the lower hall. Cakes are also on sale, with money raised going to charity.
