Children & Youth

Sometimes people think church is not a place for children, but that is not what Jesus taught, nor what we think…

Children are just as important as anyone else in the life of the church. We especially encourage children and their parents/carers to come to any of our Sunday services, as there will be activities related to the service for them enjoy and grow in their faith.

At the Communion Service (2nd Sunday) there are two separate groups during the service with appropriate activities to help children grow in their faith.

Smart Kids (ages 2-7) in the Upper Hall

Simply Smart (8+) in the Back Meeting Room

For babies there is an unsupervised Smarties Crèche Room which parents/carers can take their children to at any point in the service. The audio of the service is also available in this room.

Sunday Mornings

Whether you have been following Jesus for years or are just interested in finding out more, you are welcome to join us on a Sunday morning. There is room for everyone in God’s Family whatever your age or background. We believe everyone is loved and valued by God and so seek to be welcoming to all.

We meet at 10am and the service lasts between an hour and an hour and twenty minutes. The services vary each week…

Alternate Worship Service (1st Sunday of the month)
This service is led by one of our Fellowship Groups, with time to pray, praise songs and a talk on part of the Bible. There is a group for children and young people during the service.

Holy Communion (2nd Sunday)
This is a more formal service where we use bread and wine to remember God’s love for us through Jesus’ death and resurrection. There are groups for children and young people during the service.

Morning Praise (3rd & 4th Sunday)
This is a fairly informal service with time to pray, plenty of praise songs and a talk on part of the Bible. There is a group for children and young people during the service.

Renewal & Healing (5th Sunday)
This is an informal service where there is an emphasis on seeking God’s presence and praying for God to powerfully touch and transform our lives. There is a group for children and young people during the service.

After each service we spend time together over a tea and coffee in the lower hall. Cakes are also on sale, with money raised going to charity.
